In news away from the Blades but something that most United fans will be pleased to read, former right-back Kieron Freeman has sealed a move to Swindon Town.
The former Blade has been out of the game since moving on from United in the summer, Chris Wilder opting to let Freeman go despite him playing a big part in the club’s rise up the leagues.
And confirmed by the Swindon Advertiser this evening, Freeman has penned a deal to join the League One outfit until the end of the campaign.
Freeman is a firm favourite of the Bramall Lane faithful after being a big player as United climbed from League One into the Premier League in just three seasons under Chris Wilder.
The former Derby man was particularly impressive in the third tier, hitting double figures from wing-back as the Blades soared to 100 points.
About time, this is a good move for Freeman
Freeman is too good a player to be out of the game like he has been and Swindon have got themselves a good player at that level.
They need help, too. Their form has been woeful and they sit within the bottom four in big trouble.
Hopefully, Freeman can help the Robins out and use his experience and quality to help them climb the table in the winter months.
