Former Sheffield United target, Folarin Balogun, is said to have up to 15 clubs all vying for his signature this summer.
Balogun was a target for United and Chris Wilder in the summer before the club signed Rhian Brewster. However, no move ever materialised as the Blades tried their luck at a bargain deal.
Since then, Balogun has gone on to become part of the Arsenal squad and has two Europa League goals to his name this term. He has, however, failed to agree a new deal as yet and could be free to walk away in the summer.
Respected worldwide journalist Fabrizio Romano claims Balogun has up to 15 clubs now keen on him, although whether United remain one of those is up for debate.
The Athletic have also claimed Balogun is close to signing a deal with a European club on the continent, which would rule any faint hopes United have of landing Balogun, out.
Let’s face it, we have no chance here
This will probably be the last we report anything on Balogun but given he’s still not gone anywhere, we felt it worthwhile to talk about.
United are bound to be out of the running now, especially after our nightmare season so far. Being realistic, there’s no big reason why the young striker would consider us at the moment.
It looks like we’ve missed the boat with this one and Balogun will, in all probability, go on to have a very successful career elsewhere.
