The Daily Mail claims that both Everton and Liverpool are tracking Sheffield United youngster, Kyron Gordon.
The teenager is on the edge of the first-team squad at Bramall Lane and has already been included in the match-day 20 this season.
However, his development is not going unnoticed and now the Mail claims that both Merseyside clubs want to sign the youngster.
Gordon, 18, is one of a number of young players currently emerging from the pack at Sheffield United. The likes of Hassan Ayari and Antwoine Hackford are two exciting names, while Iliman Ndiaye was involved at the weekend.
United know they could be open to losing some of their top young talents if they go down. Chris Wilder, then, will be desperate for his side to hit some form to try and preserve their Premier League status.
Liverpool and Everton want Kyron Gordon – Demand big money, everyone else does
Gordon might not have played a game yet but United should still demand good money if they are to sell.
We aren’t in a position anymore where we need to sell. It’s an entirely different situation to when we had to sell the likes of Calvert-Lewin and Ramsdale for cheap when Wilder first came in.
Gordon is clearly a talent and it’s great to see him attracting attention from some of the top clubs. But for United, they should dig their heels and get as much as they can if Liverpool and Everton are serious.
