Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun – who was a target for Sheffield United in the summer – is apparently set for a new contract with the Gunners.
The Blades were said to be keen on landing the young striker prior to signing Rhian Brewster. Chris Wilder admitting at the time that he had asked the Gunners about the availablity of Balogun.
However, despite his deal expiring in 2021, Arsenal were said to be demanding around £10m for Balogun. But following a recent upturn in performances and after impressing Mikel Arteta, Balogun now looks set for a new deal in north London (Daily Mail).
He has been in and around the first-team of late, making his Gunners debut recently. Along with Eddie Nketiah, Balogun is thought to be the future for Arsenal in terms of strikers.

United, meanwhile, have only scored four Premier League goals this season, joint worst with Burnley as things stand.
Was always a tough deal, we move on
It would have been nice to have got one of the Gunners’ best young talents in the building but we got Brewster instead and we move on.
Balogun looks to be kicking on a bit now with Arsenal so there is obviously a player in there, which is what Chris Wilder will have identified.
But, we move forward and wish Balogun all the best in his career.
