Blades striker, Oli McBurnie, got the winning goal once again as United saw off West Ham at Bramall Lane.
In what was mainly a drab affair in Sheffield, McBurnie got the opening goal in front of the Kop. The big striker calmly finished John Fleck’s unselfish lay-off to give the Blades a 1-o lead.
However, things could have been different if it wasn’t for VAR. Michael Oliver was advised to overturn a late Robert Snodgrass goal, with Declan Rice having handled the ball.
McBurnie didn’t seem to care though, and following the game he took to Twitter to voice his delight at the win, insisting the result was ‘never in doubt’.
After coming in for criticism at the start of the season from some Blades fans, McBurnie seems to have found his feet. His winner last night was the second winning goal he’s scored in the last month.
McBurnie also got the late equaliser at home to Manchester United in November.
It’s safe to say, then, that McBurnie has won round some of those Blades fans and there was a wealth of support on Twitter for him following his latest display.

To say McBurnie has come on leaps and bounds in the last few weeks would be an understatement.
He looks leaner, stronger, and fitter than he did back in August and September and it’s showing in his performances. His overall game against the Hammers was superb and he deserved his goal.
Yes, he mishit the shot somewhat but they all count, and McBurnie is now just one behind Lys Mousset in the goalscoring charts.
The big striker is going to be more and more important as the season goes on. Not only is he now finding his goal touch, but the rest of the team seem to be used to his style of play.
McBurnie will continue to improve and he’s already paid a lot of his hefty transfer fee back.
