Sheffield United have found out their Premier League fixtures for next season and Paul Heckingbottom has been speaking about them this morning.
United open their campaign with a home game against Crystal Palace before travelling to Nottingham Forest for their first away game. Champions Manchester City then await to round out August.
Other notable fixtures include a home clash with Luton on Boxing Day, while Spurs will visit Bramall Lane on the final day of the season.
But while they’re all big games, manager Heckingbottom has his eye on one fixture in particular.

Heckingbottom looks forward to Sheffield United v Liverpool
Speaking on Sky Sports News this morning after the fixtures were released, Hecky admitted he was looking forward to the test all the games bring.

However, he did concede he’s looking forward to taking his Blades side to Anfield to face Liverpool.
“I’ve still never been to Anfield. I think it’s the one ground in the country I’ve not been to yet. I’m looking forward to them all but that’s the one that stands out,” Heckingbottom said.
United travel to Liverpool late on in the season to kick off a tricky April which sees Chelsea, Brentford, Burnley and Newcastle all on the agenda.
Sheff U News View: Relish the big games
Of course, depending on how the season goes and how the owners react, Heckingbottom might not even end up getting to April, such is the nature of the beast that is PL football.
We’d love to see Hecky get that far obviously. For one, it would mean we’re probably doing ok and secondly, he deserves to get the chance to lead United in this massive games.
Hecky will be wanting his players to relish these occasions. United will go into most of these games as the underdog and with nothing to lose. And that suits us just fine.
