Former Manchester United midfielder, Roy Keane, slammed Sheffield United at half-time during the loss against Spurs today.
Keane, watching on from the studio with Graeme Sounness and Michah Richards, admitted he couldn’t quite believe what he was seeing from the Blades players after the opening 45.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane was baffled by what Chris Wilder’s men had produced.
“I can’t believe what I’m watching. You always think this group are a decent group and will have a go but I can’t believe how bad they’ve been,” Keane said.

“Lack of quality and lack of creativity. Looking at them today and their points total and everything behind them, they could go down as one of the worst teams to ever player in the Premier League. I can’t believe what I’m watching”.
United fought back in the second half for 20 minutes and got to within a goal thanks to David McGoldrick. However, Tanguy Ndombele finished brilliantly to put the game to bed just after.
Keane is right and it’s sad to admit it
We all enjoy sitting and watching Roy Keane pull no punches so we have to accept it when it’s directed at Sheffield United as well.
Sadly, and it pains me to say, he is right. We look really poor at times with the ‘perfect storm’ Wilder talks about in terms of injuries, form, and a lack of fans, not seeming to go away any time soon.
It’s unfortunate to watch but the Blades have to carry on. We have two games in the league which will be free hits, while the FA Cup is very much something we can focus on to give us something positive in the season.
