Sheffield United striker Oli McBurnie will be a happy man today following Rangers’ 2-0 win over Celtic in the Scottish Premier League.

Two goals from Connor Goldson ensured the Gers extended their lead over the Bhoys at the top of the table, as Steven Gerrard looks to prevent Celtic from making it ten in a row.

And one of the standout performers once again for Rangers was midfielder, Glen Kamara, who put in yet another fine display to run the midfield and guide his team to victory.

Kamara was said to be a target for the Blades in the summer. 90Min claimed in August United were looking to pay around £10m for the Finland ace. Obviously, no move ever materialised.

But that hasn’t stopped Blades star McBurnie keeping an eye on – and singing the praises of – Kamara’s performances in Scotland, with the United forward taking to Twitter to offer his thoughts on Kamara’s performance.

McBurnie is – as most Blades fans know – an avid supporter of all things Rangers. Could it be, then, that we see the striker looking to get in the ear of Kamara come the summer?

One to watch?

Obviously McBurnie is simply commenting on the game itself and loving the performance of Kamara. But, given he was linked with us in the summer, it seems relevant to mention.

It’s also a given that by next summer we’ll probably need another midfielder. John Lundstram will probably leave, while Sander Berge could attract attention if he carries on the way he is.

Kamara, then, could be a good signing for United. Strong, calm on the ball, and experienced at international level, the 24-year-old would fit the mould of player Chris Wilder has looked at this summer.

So, come on Oli, do us all a favour and put the feelers out at Ibrox and get in the ear of Kamara ready for next summer!
