Oli McBurnie reacts on Instagram to brilliant Jack Robinson tackle against West Brom

After all the pre-match talk of this being a defining game in the season for Sheffield United, the Blades duly delivered with a professional display to see off West Brom last night.

A double from the evergreen Billy Sharp once again ensured United won out. It means, despite not being quite at their very best last night, that the Blades have won four on the bounce. A win this weekend at Huddersfield, then, could see them climb into the playoff places.

But while Sharp might have got the plaudits once again for his goals, there were a number of standout performances and moments from individuals against West Brom. And none more eye-catching than the 11th minute bone-crunching tackle from United defender, Jack Robinson. The Blades number 19 flew into Grady Diangana in front of the South Stand, much to the annoyance of Steve Bruce, but very much to the delight of Paul Heckingbottom.

Oli McBurnie Loves Jack Robinson Tackle

The United number nine isn’t averse to getting into a bit of a scrap himself on the pitch. The big striker seems to revel in the heat of the battle and he’s shown his class in the last two appearances off the bench.

As we all know, McBurnie is a bit of a social media darling among Blades fans. And taking to Instagram this evening, McBurnie couldn’t help but laugh at the tackle from Robinson, as he branded the United defender an ‘angry man’.

To be fair to Robinson, the tackle did set the tone of the entire game. United, despite not always at their best, had to put bodies on the line to defend at times Robinson’s tackle here epitomised the attitude in the squad.

Usually one of the first to be criticised by some fans, Robinson was actually superb last night.
