Millwall manager Neil Harris was full of praise for Sheffield United are their 1-1 draw.

Gary Madine gave the Blades the lead at Bramall Lane, before John Egan was sent off for handball. Ben Marshall hit the bar with the resultant penalty, but Jake Cooper headed in a 95th minute equaliser to grab a point.

Leeds United now have the advantage in the promotion race from the Championship. They beat Sheffield Wednesday in the late kickoff.

Chris Wilder’s men now trail Leeds by three points with four game to go. Yet Harris was very impressed with the Blades – and even did something he has not done all season.

“I’m delighted with a point. I think we deserved it,” the Lions boss told the South London Press.

“Firstly, huge credit to Chrissy Wilder and this football club for where they are at the moment. He has not been getting carried away, but managers and players alike in the game respect what he has done here.

“It’s the first time I’ve played a back five as a manager and I did it to try and combat Sheffield United and how good they are.

“We wanted to stay in the game as long as possible to try and combat their strengths of getting around the outside and putting balls into the box. And it just goes to show even us going to a back five, whatever you do it’s difficult to stop them.”

What next?

The Blades are now relying on Leeds to drop points if they are to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.

However, recent history suggests that is a distinct possibility. In the last four weeks alone, the two sides have swapped positions no fewer than four times.

They will now both be concentrating on Easter weekend. The Blades host Nottingham Forest on Friday and then travel to Hull City the following Monday. Leeds, meanwhile, play Wigan Athletic at home and then Brentford away.
