Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has hit back at certain sections of the fanbase after the draw against Fulham this weekend.
The Blades once again surrendered a lead as Fulham took a point away from Bramall Lane as part of an entertaining game at the weekend.
Despite going 3-1 up and then seeing a fourth goal ruled out narrowly for offside, United couldn’t hold onto the lead for the second game running.
It leaves United cut adrift at the bottom of the table when if the two results could have been seen out, the Blades would have been right back in the mix.

Subs costing Sheffield United amid fitness struggles
Of course, one of the reasons United are struggling to hold onto results is down to players struggling to get through 90 minutes. Indeed, Wilder himself has admitted numerous times that he is making what he calls ‘physical substitutions’.
However, that hasn’t stopped certain areas of the support-base criticising Wilder’s subs. At the weekend, he brought on Ollie Norwood, Auston Trusty and James McAtee as the likes of Vini Souza, Ollie Arblaster and Oli McBurnie tired.

But when posed with the question about whether or not those decisions were correct, Wilder clapped back at the people suggesting he’s getting it wrong.
Chris Wilder hits back at critics
Speaking to the media ahead of the clash with Liverpool today, Wilder covered a host of topics, including what had happened at the weekend.
And when pressed on the subs and suggestions from some fans that they cost United the game, Wilder seemed angry and suggested that the alternative is to injure his own players.
“When I say it’s physical substitutions, I’m not passing the buck on this, this is from a conditioning point of view and, open it up to injury. So I tell you what, I’ll play him to 95 minutes, well, 115 minutes, he pulls his hamstring, pulls his calf, his groin, his thigh, and he’s out for six weeks. Let’s do that, that’s sensible isn’t it? And the same with Vini, exactly the same,” Wilder said.
Wilder admitted he will make changes to the trip to Liverpool this week, which is part of a three-game stretch in just seven days.
The likes of Andre Brooks, James McAtee, and Will Osula will all be hoping to be involved in some capactiy.
