Sheffield United’s hopes of winning out against Leicester City this weekend have been made harder with the return of three key Foxes players.

Brendan Rodgers will have the key trio of Ricardo Pereira, Caglar Soyuncu, and Wilfried Ndidi all back in contention for the trip to Bramall Lane.

All three have been included in the starting XI for Leicester’s Europa League clash tonight and all three will be hoping to make the cut for Premier League action this weekend.

It is a massive boost for Rodgers’ squad, who lost out to Fulham last weekend in surprising and lacklustre fashion.

On the opposite side of the fence, Chris Wilder and Sheffield United are sweating on the fitness of Enda Stevens and Ethan Ampadu as their defensive woes continue to stack up.

When it rains it pours is the saying, I think

Obviously there isn’t a lot we can do about other teams getting key players back but this is a bit of a kick in the teeth.

Soyuncu is excellent, while Ricardo was one of the standout fullbacks in the Premier League last season. Ndidi, meanwhile, brings steel and energy to the Foxes midfield.

It won’t make much difference for Chris Wilder and Alan Knill’s preparations but when things are going bad, it seems that everything that can go against you, does.

Hopefully, United can see past the boost for Leicester and finally (getting tired of saying this) land that elusive three points!
