Sheffield United face the most anxious of deadline days as they wait to see what the future holds for both Sander Berge and Iliman Ndiaye.
There is also a wider worry about the club in general, with a takeover seemingly not moving as fast as some would have liked. There is also the issue of the transfer embargo. That is effectively forcing the club into a sale, with Berge being tipped as most likely to leave.
Reports this week have claimed both Newcastle and Fulham are pushing to do a deal. However, Newcastle’s interest might well be over, given they only want a loan to buy deal.

More worryingly for United fans, though, was the mention on TalkSPORT this morning of Iliman Ndiaye.
Speaking in his transfer roundup on TalkSPORT Breakfast, Dan Windle said he’d heard yesterday that both Berge and Iliman Ndiaye could be up for sale today, if the money was right.
MORE UNITED STORIES
As we know, Ndiaye has rejected a move to Everton this month already. But it remains to be seen if Everton will come again, or indeed another club swoops. The Blades would likely demand north of £20m for Ndiaye.

It’s the easiest comparison to make and an obvious one but there is a feeling in the air with this.
It seems obvious Berge is going to go. That deal looks more or less done and dusted and just seems to be a matter of time in getting over the line.
If Ndiaye was to go, though, then there’d be uproar. He is the one driving us to promotion and of the two players here, Ndiaye is the one United fans want to keep the most.
If both are sold, then Prince Abdullah can expect the full wrath of the fans. It will tarnish what has been a decent tenure, and leave the sourest of tastes in the mouth.
