John Fleck appears to put to bed any chance of leaving Sheffield United

Sheffield United midfielder, John Fleck, has seemingly put to bed any talk of him moving away from the club before tomorrow evening.

The Scottish midfielder has been linked with a move to Arsenal during the window. The Gunners are reportedly eyeing up a £20m bid for the Blades maestro.

Talk earlier in the day was rife of a potential move after Fleck’s wife shared something of a cryptic message on Twitter. However, she has since moved to clarify her comments.

And now Fleck, too, has emerged to seemingly put an end to any rumours. In a video posted by the official Sheffield United Twitter account, Fleck responded with a resounding ‘no chance’ when asked if he was on the move.

That swift reaction and comment from Fleck seems to have pleased Blades fans.  A wide number of them immediately responding to the video to show their delight.

What is the fear around John Fleck?

With the Blades set to land Sander Berge later today along with a number of other signings, some United fans feared a sale might be funding the new arrivals.

However, it looks to not be the case now. It appears the Blades board are backing Chris Wilder to the hilt in order to maximise what has been a momentous return to the Premier League.

Fleck, incidentally, has been the main driver behind the Blades’ good form. He’s scored five times and laid on another two goals from the inside left midfield position.

It’s little surprise to see the likes of Arsenal interested. But, for the time being, it looks like United can look forward to watching John Fleck for that little bit longer.

If Fleck does indeed stay put, it’s as good as any new signing in the eyes of a lot of Blades.
