Sheffield United will need to find around £20m and beat Manchester United if they are to land Swansea City star, Joe Rodon.
Rodon has risen to prominence this season after a number of fine performances for the Swans. The 22-year-old has firmly cemented himself as one of the Championship’s biggest stars.

Sheffield United were linked with a move for Rodon last year. However, any move for Rodon now looks a struggle, with Wales Online reporting that Manchester United have now joined Man City in the hunt for him.
It is claimed that Swansea will demand around £20m for the Welsh international.

That would, of course, mean the Blades having to once again pay a big sum for a new player. Furthermore, it would mean the Blades somehow having to match the wages City and United could offer.

The fact of the matter is with this one is, if the Manchester clubs do get involved, it means the Blades will probably miss out on Rodon.
Both of those clubs can blow United out of the water in terms of any fee paid and wages offered.

Rodon is, however, good friends with Oli McBurnie. That does offer the Blades a glimmer of hope in that the Scotland striker might well be able to get in the ear of his former Swansea teammate.
But, for now, it looks like the Blades might well miss out on one of their supposed long-term targets.
