Sheffield United target Dean Henderson thinks he should be playing for Manchester United.
The goalkeeper impressed on loan at the Blades last season and is expected to return for 2019/20.
However, in an interview with the Daily Mail, Henderson says he should be in the Red Devils first team:
“You always watch Premier League Years on the telly and to know that could be me next year, I can’t wait,” the 22-year-old said.
“Whether that is at Manchester United, Sheffield United, wherever, I’m good enough to be a Premier League goalkeeper. I deserve that chance.

“It’s a tough one to say where. But do I think I should be playing at Manchester United now? Yes I do.
“I think I am good enough and I would help the team a lot, in a positive way.
“If not there I’m sure I could go back to Sheffield United, play a season and then I’ll prove to Manchester United what they are missing.”
Henderson continued: “I would give my right leg to play for that football club.
“That has been my dream since I was a little boy, being a fan. I just know I’m working hard in the background and waiting for any little opportunity that comes up.”
The article suggests it could be the perfect time for Henderson as David de Gea endured some poor form in 2018/19. De Gea is out of contract in 2020 and ESPN reports Paris Saint-Germain are interested.
The Spain international has also recently turned down an improved contract, although negotiations continue.

Will Henderson stay at Manchester United?
According to the Sheffield Star the Blades are still confident of completing a deal for the England Under-21 international.
Apparently Henderson does still want to return to Bramall Lane. Especially as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not be offering him regular first team football.
However, there may be some concern as it was originally reported Henderson would rejoin on loan before leaving for the European Under-21 Championships.
Yet the ‘keeper has now left for the tournament in Italy and San Marino and won’t be entering discussions while he is away.
