Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom has refused to give away whether Wes Foderingham will replace Adam Davies in goal at Bristol City tomorrow.
Foderingham has missed the last three games through suspension. Since then, Adam Davies has come in and kept one clean sheet in those three games, conceding five.

However, despite Foderingham being available for tomorrow at Bristol City, United boss Heckingbottom refused to tell the press whether or not he’d come straight back in.
“Into the squad, yeah. I was pleased for Davo on Saturday. Obviously, we conceded that first goal against Norwich which I think hurt him, hurt us. But I think I said at the time there was one moment where I was relaxed about him,” Heckingbottom said in his press conference today.
“There was a ball over the top and he cushioned a header to Anel, makes a good decision and from there I thought yeah, he’s over it. Then he saved the penalty and pleased he was able to then keep a clean sheet at West Brom to show everyone what he’s about. In those three games now he’s shown everyone what he can do.”

The reporter then asked again to see if Heckingbottom would let his guard slip. But the Blades manager kept his counsel, responding simply with “you’ll have to see”.
Sheff U News View: Foderingham has to replace Davies at Bristol City
While Davies kept a clean sheet at the weekend, Foderingham is the number one and should come back into the fold.
At the end of the day, Davies will be well aware of his role in this Sheffield United squad. He was brought in for these moments without Foderingham. And while he’s done ok, those two goals against Norwich stick in the memory.
Foderingham had barely made an error before being suspended. And with that in mind, he comes straight back into the number one spot tomorrow.
