Gabby Agbonlahor hints he thinks Sheffield United will be relegated

Former Aston Villa striker and now pundit, Gabby Agbonlahor, has hinted he believes Sheffield United will be relegated.

The Blades are still without a win this season after losing to West Ham at the weekend. The only point so far coming against Fulham at home, when a Billy Sharp penalty rescued a draw.

And Agbonlahor, who was speaking to Talksport, believes United are in the ‘three worse’ teams in the Premier League.

“You look at the likes of Sheffield United, they can’t buy a win, even a draw at the moment. You look at West Brom, who aren’t getting results, and you look at Fulham, who can’t get a result,” Agbonlahor said when questioned about Burnley’s chances of survival. (Burnley Express)

The former Villa striker went on to explain why he believes the Clarets will be ok, despite their own poor start to the season.

“They’ve got good players in midfield – Westwood, I really like the way Lowton played yesterday. If they can keep Ben Mee fit, keep the two strikers up top fit, I think they’ll be fine,” he added.

The Blades meet West Brom this weekend in a crunch clash at the bottom of the table while they face Burnley in a few weeks’ time over the Christmas period.

Bring out the pundits, it inspired us last time

One of the features of last season was seeing pundits continually question our ability to compete in the Premier League and us going on and proving them wrong.

It almost inspired us, with Wilder even admitting he put things up on the wall to show his players what was being said.

Let’s hope this might be the start of a repeat process. Not that Agbonlahor is wrong based on how things are going at the moment, but we need any sort of boost we can get!
