The former Blackburn and Nottingham Forest striker has emerged as a target for United and it looks like Chris Wilder has moved quicky to seal a deal.

Taking to X just now, Romano has delivered his now famed ‘here we go’ on the deal.

Brereton-Diaz will sign on loan at Bramall Lane until the end of the season with no option to buy included as standard.

Sheffield United move quickly to sign Brereton-Diaz

Well, this is a turn up for the books when it comes to the Blades. Normally, us fans are left wondering who we’ll sign on deadline day if anyone but it looks like Wilder has got his way.

Brereton-Diaz’s arrival is a massive boost for United. He adds quality and depth in attack and will instantly improve what we already have.

With Benie Traore going to Nantes, this feels like a massive upgrade really and one Blades fans will be happy with.

If Brereton-Diaz can somehow rediscover his goalscoring touch then it’s a huge plus for United.

Certainly, it’s a great start to the window and hopefully, there’s more to come.
