Sheffield United face a battle to keep hold of their star man, Iliman Ndiaye, with reports now linking multiple clubs with a move for the forward.
Ndiaye’s superb season last term catapulted United back into the Premier League. However, those performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
According to The Sun, Ndiaye is wanted by Everton and Marseille this summer. The Toffees are hoping to follow up on their interest from January – which was flatly rejected by United – while Marseille hope they can lure Ndiaye back to France.
Of course, Ndiaye has admitted he has a love for Marseille and would love to play for them.

A long summer as Iliman Ndiaye is a wanted man
Ndiaye’s ‘unplayable‘ form for club and country means that a number of clubs have been alerted to his presence.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Tottenham are among the teams keen on Ndiaye and now it seems like Everton and Marseille are ready to test United’s resolve as well.
However, The Sun does claim that United believe Ndiaye has no interest in signing for Everton as it stands. Sean Dyche is believed to really admire the Blades ace but Ndiaye is happy enough in S2.
The interest from Marseille would be more of a worry for United, given Ndiaye’s past comments.
Ndiaye is into the last year of his contract and United now face a big summer when it comes to their star man.
Sheff U News View: Blades go down without Ndiaye
While we wouldn’t ever want to deny Iliman Ndiaye a move to Marseille to follow his dreams, it would be a disaster for the Blades ahead of this season.
Put simply, the Blades don’t have a chance – or they have a very slim chance – of staying up if Ndiaye leaves. It’s a huge issue if he does move on.
Not only will we get a smaller fee than we all know he’s worth. But there’s just no way we will be able to replace him.
Ndiaye is that good and United would be looking north of £30m to get someone who even comes close.
