Sheffield United are set for more misery tomorrow night at Reading, with Sky pundit David Prutton believing another winless game is in store for Slavisa Jokanovic’s men.
The Blades are struggling at the moment in the Championship. Jokanovic’s side have won just three of the last ten games and in that period have kept just the two clean-sheets.
United face a tricky trip to Berkshire tomorrow to face a Reading side battling for their lives after a points deduction. The Royals sit just below United in the table, and picked up a well-earned point against Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
Struggling
Sky’s David Prutton, who keeps a close eye on all things Championship related, was in the studio at the weekend when Don Goodman tore into Sheffield United’s players.

And doing his usual round of predictions ahead of Sheffield United v Reading tomorrow, Prutton doesn’t believe things will get much better for United either.
“I’ve spoken a lot about Sheffield United’s inconsistency so far. But it is more than that now. They have not been good enough and at some point it needs to turn, because with the squad and manager they have, they should be higher up the table. Score draw here for me,” Prutton wrote.
A draw wouldn’t be the best result for either team to be honest. United are desperate for three points. Reading, meanwhile, need to try and clamber away from the threat of the bottom three.
Turning Point
In the face of adversity, good teams normally rise out of it together. And tomorrow’s trip to Reading is the perfect time for this Sheffield United side to do that.
Fans are starting to question players, management, and boardroom. All in all, it’s a bubbling mix awaiting boiling point. Defeat tomorrow could signal that point being reached.
On the reverse of that, a good win at Reading could kickstart United’s season into gear. A win could put United 13th. And if they follow that up with three points at the weekend, suddenly the top six is within touching distance.
It really could be a turning point for Jokanovic and his team. Hopefully, the players can make it happen.
