David McGoldrick describes Sadio Mane as a 'robot', calls him a 'joy to see'

Sheffield United striker David McGoldrick knows a good player when he sees one and claims Sadio Mane is like ‘a robot’.

Ahead of the Blades’ clash with the Premier League champions this weekend, McGoldrick was speaking to the press ahead of Liverpool making the trip to Sheffield.

United lost out narrowly to the Reds earlier in the season, while the last clash at Bramall Lane was settled thanks to a Dean Henderson error.

And McGoldrick, when pressed on who he would like to play with out of the famed Liverpool front three, was under no illusions who he’d choose.

Mane,” McGoldrick told Radio Sheffield’s Adam Oxley.

“He was just a robot, working hard, skipping by people… a joy to see.”

Mane is expected to be in the XI for the Reds this weekend. Liverpool could also welcome back Diogo Jota to the fold.

United, meanwhile, have a number of injury problems including the entire first choice back three. However, Liverpool are in a rotten run of form so Chris Wilder will be quietly confident of causing an upset of some sort.

Sadio Mane is brilliant, McGoldrick is correct with his pick

Mane, Salah, and Firmino, not to mention Jota, are all world class players.

But Mane is the one who gets you off your seat and looks like being an absolute nightmare to defend against. He’s so quick, deceptively strong, and relentless in his quest to score and create goals.

United will have to try and keep Mane quiet if there is to be any hope of a result at Bramall Lane this weekend.
