Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has offered fans an update on where Jack Rodwell is currently at with the club.
Rodwell has been missing for much of the season after signing a new deal in the summer and has become something of a forgotten man at Bramall Lane.
The cup game at Bristol Rovers last weekend, coupled with Wilder only naming seven out of nine subs more than once in the league, has had some United fans pondering if Rodwell is still at the club and available.
But Wilder, speaking ahead of the game with Spurs today, says Rodwell has simply been injured and could be back next weekend.

“He’s had an unfortunate injury. As I have talked about all along, the majority have been impact injuries,” Wilder told Yorkshire Live.
“He had a heavy fall and is still recovering. He is one of the seven. Not a long-term one, hopefully, the cup game will be an opportunity for Jack to be involved in that.”
Rodwell featured sporadically last term but did enough to win a new deal from Wilder.
Plymouth an ideal chance, would be nice to see Rodwell involved
Most fans probably thought there was an issue with Rodwell of some sorts given his past and apparent reputation at other clubs but as usual, there’s no such issue.
It would be nice to see Rodwell get a chance in red and white. He’s done little wrong and all the noises you hear is that he’s been the model professional off the field.
Hopefully, he’s back fit and involved in another winnable FA Cup tie next weekend.
