Sheffield United battled hard but lost out to Liverpool this evening, as goals from Curtis Jones and then a deflected Bobby Firmino effort proved enough.
The Blades huffed and puffed throughout but, ultimately, lacked the cutting edge in the final third when it was needed. Oli McBurnie twice spurned good chances at 1-0, before Firmino sealed the win via a Kean Bryan deflection.
But there was plenty to admire about United in fairness. The effort was there with a disjointed side and there were some good performances within the XI selected.
However, it was hard to look beyond Aaron Ramsdale as his man of the match. The stopper made countless good saves in the opening 45 in particular and could do little about either goal.
My Revenge On Ben Foster
After picking up a lot of criticism throughout the season, Ramsdale earnt plenty of praise this evening on Twitter.
Here, then, is what some Blades fans had to say about Ramsdale’s performance against Liverpool this evening.
Ramsdale only player who deserves to play at this level based on last few games

Full credit Ramsdale. Terrific goalkeeping. Not just the saves but absolutely commanding his area, making himself big, coming out for everything. Solid stuff
