Sheffield United legend, Brian Deane, has been singing the praises of Iliman Ndiaye after the Blades saw off Preston this weekend.
Ndiaye got himself on the scoresheet to make it five for the season as he once again pressed and harried a defender into a mistake before showing his class to slot in off the post.

For United fans, seeing Ndiaye playing as he is has been a pleasure to watch. And speaking on SUTV after the game this weekend, former striker Deane believes Ndiaye is just getting better by the week.
“I’ve been really impressed with this boy since I started seeing him play. I just feel he’s getting better and better and better,” Deane said on SUTV.
“That was typified by his performance today (against Preston). It was almost a mature performance from him and he seems like he’s growing into the role. That’s typified by him knowing when to press, then just a little bit of skill to wrong foot the defender and then the composure to finish. It really strikes me as someone who is really enjoying playing for Sheffield United.”

United are believed to be looking into tying Ndiaye down to a new contract despite him only signing a new one at the start of last season. And on current form, it’s hard to blame the club one bit.
Our View: Ndiaye Is Destined For The Top
Make no mistake, if Iliman Ndiaye can maintain his focus and fitness and keep producing the form he is showing right now, then this is a Premier League star in the making.
For United, it’s about trying to get into the top flight to give themselves the best chance of keeping Ndiaye. Anything less will surely see him sold on next summer, with PL vultures likely to be circling. If he has a good World Cup with Senegal too, then his stock will only rise further.
Right now, as Blades fans, we can simply sit back and enjoy Ndiaye. Deane is spot on in his assessment as well, meaning there is even more to come from the Senegal star this week.
