Daniel Jebbison was the hero for Sheffield United at Everton tonight and Billy Sharp was delighted for the young striker to score a debut goal.
Jebbison was thrust into the action by Paul Heckingbottom after getting a 30 minute cameo last weekend. The 17-year-old tapped in a low Jack Robinson cross to get a dream start to his Blades career. Further to that, he also produced a fine off the ball performance.
The teenager’s work-rate, effort, and overall contribution was excellent at the top of the pitch. It’s also worth adding he was against experienced Premier League defenders, too.
But it was Jebbison’s movement that got him his goal and that was something that club skipper, Billy Sharp, picked up on.

Sharp took to social media to praise Jebbison and congratulate him.
Daniel Jebbison to learn from Billy Sharp going forward
There’s probably no better striker in terms of natural goalscoring instincts to learn from than Billy Sharp. And while the skipper is out injured at the moment, it should be a match made in heaven.
‘Jebbo’ will be able to learn from Sharp’s experience, knowhow, and ability in front of goal. On the flipside of that, Jebbison will probably give Sharp another lease of life and keep the United captain on his toes.
Sharp will be vital next season, both on and off the pitch. And based on this showing at Everton, so will Daniel Jebbison.
