Sheffield United striker, Billy Sharp, insists the squad’s focus is now on overhauling Chelsea in the top four.
The Blades moved to within two points of the Blues on Sunday. A hard-fought 2-1 win over Bournemouth was enough for Chris Wilder’s men to continue their remarkable push for the European places.

Wilder, as usual, refuses to be drawn on talk of their finishing position. Instead, the Blades boss simply wants to look at the next game and winning three points.
However, his captain appears to be a bit more open in own assessment of things at Bramall Lane. And speaking following the win over the Cherries, Sharp insisted the focus is on those above them.

Sharp had finally got his second goal of the season during the game. The experienced forward rattled home from close range just before half time to send Bramall Lane into the interval in a much more positive mood.
Remarkably, it was Sharp’s first goal since the opening day of the season. Coincidentally, that was also against Eddie Howe’s men.
Chelsea need to be careful
Nobody would have thought we’d be having this conversation at the start of the season. The sheer thought of Chelsea being taken over by Sheffield United was unthinkable at the start of August.

However, as the weeks tick by, it’s becoming more and more of a realistic goal for the Blades.
Chelsea have struggled for consistency. Crucially, too, they still have to visit Bramall Lane before the end of the season. That game could be massive. Bramall Lane will be buzzing with excitement if United are still in and around the top four.
Make no mistake, the dream could very much become a reality for Sheffield United. With a kind of fixtures to come, the Blades could well be in the top four after the next round of fixtures.
