The Blades have earnt yet more praise from Sky Sports pundit, Gary Neville, with the pundit putting the club on a pedestal with Liverpool.
The former Man United and England man is one of the leading pundits in the game at the moment. Yesterday, he had praised Sheffield United for their start to the season. Indeed, Neville used words such as ‘incredible’ and described their football as ‘too good’.

Chris Wilder’s men are currently sitting seventh in the Championship table. Heading into today’s clash with Brighton, they know a win can propel them to within a point of fourth place.
And the Blades have come in for even more praise from Gary Neville. Speaking to Sky Sports as a part of a mid-season grading special, Neville ranked United alongside Liverpool.

Furthermore, Neville only gave out two A+ ratings for his mid-season review. Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, and Chris Wilder’s Blades, the only two to pick up such ratings.
How else did Gary Neville score the Premier League
Neville had praise for a lot of clubs in the league. He gave the likes of Leicester City an A for their form under Brendan Rodgers, while Newcastle and Brighton were B and B- respectively.
However, he didn’t hold back on some clubs. Norwich, understandably, were down near the bottom of the pile with a D. Aston Villa, Arsenal, and Manchester United also came in for criticism from the Sky Sports star.
But it is Chris Wilder’s Blades who can hold their heads the highest. Despite Liverpool coming out with the same rank, few expected Sheffield United to do so well.

Gary Neville is clearly one of few pundits to see what is happening for the Blades under Wilder and mentioning the club in the same breath as Liverpool, is a huge plus.
He’s an intelligent pundit, with a keen eye for detail. Therefore, seeing him rate the Blades so highly, is a nice nod to all involved at Bramall Lane as 2019 draws to a close.
