It’s a huge game at Bramall Lane for Sheffield United tonight as they take on QPR and look to put to bed a miserable weekend performance at Stoke City.
United didn’t really turn up against the Potters and looked lethargic and out of ideas at times. The clash with the R’s at The Lane tonight is a chance to reignited the playoff push and put things right against a team who have been in freefall themselves of late.
Paul Heckingbottom once again has some big decisions to make. A number of players will be available who might not have been 100% fit for the weekend, and ‘Hecky’ could be tempted into some more changes.
Sheffield United Team News
Enda Stevens has been back on the bench recently and could get a chance to play tonight. Rhys Norrington-Davies has been involved most weeks and a rest – coupled with the fact he’s not producing in the final third – might be a smart change.

New signing Filip Uremovic could also start in place of Ben Davies. Paul Heckingbottom has hinted that the Croatian will need game time, so his time could come tonight.
In midfield, Conor Hourihane might hope to start in place of John Fleck or Sander Berge. The big Norwegian was one of a few to look tired at the weekend. Likewise, Iliman Ndiaye might also hope to get a chance either in Berge’s place or as part of the front two.
Oli McBurnie is back in training and could replace Daniel Jebbison, who didn’t quite look ready at the weekend, albeit in a poor team performance. Will Osula is also pushing after coming off the bench once again at Stoke.
Predicted Sheffield United XI vs QPR
We feel the team needs a freshen up and that will see Stevens or Osborn come in for ‘RND’. We also think Uremovic will get his debut at the back to bring balance.
In midfield, we’re tipping Berge to keep his place with Ndiaye once again coming off the bench. However, there is likely to be a start for Oli McBurnie if he has proved his fitness. Despite his lack of goals, he is the most experienced in the squad in that position and Heckingbottom has previously backed him.
Here, then, is our predicted Sheffield United XI as we take on QPR this evening at Bramall Lane.
