The Championship fixtures continue to come thick and fast for Sheffield United, with a trip to the northeast to face Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough tonight.
United could go up to as high as seventh if they can see off Boro. A run of three wins and two draws from the last five games has seen Slavisa Jokanovic’s side start to gather momentum.
In contrast, Warnock’s Middlesbrough have slipped to 18th in the table and have lost three of the last four. In fact, Boro have won just one from seven, with just a single goal in their last four fixtures.
As we know, though, Warnock will want to beat the Blades. A lifelong United fan, he’ll want to get one over on us simply for his own ego if anything else.

Sheffield United Team News for Middlesbrough
Slavisa Jokanovic could make some changes to the starting XI and squad for the trip north. Given the fixtures, and with another game Saturday at promotion rivals Bournemouth, the Serbian could switch things around.
Enda Stevens is pushing to start at left-back, while on the other flank, Jayden Bogle could start after Jokanovic admitted he’d felt bad about leaving the ex-Derby man out at the weekend.
Conor Hourihane will hope to come in for Oliver Norwood, while Rhian Brewster and Oli McBurnie will again be pushing for minutes. But with Billy Sharp in form, it’s likely Jokanovic sticks with his goalscorer.
Iliman Ndiaye might be the man to make way, though. The youngster once again came off against the Rams and three games in a week might just be a stretch for the 21-year-old.
Here, then, is our predicted line-up for Sheffield United against Middlesbrough this evening. We predict three changes, with McBurnie’s height potentially a factor in him getting a start at the Riverside.
