Predicted Sheffield United XI v Wolves: Starts for Brewster and Osborn in change of shape

It’s back to where it all started this season in terms of opposition for Sheffield United, with the Blades making the trip to Molineux to face Wolves.

The Blades are desperate to put some points on the board and with Wolves having little to play for, it could be an open game. Manager Paul Heckingbottom conceded in the week that relegation is all but accepted within his group of players.

Further, he also confirmed that this weekend is likely to come too early for midfielder Sander Berge. The Norwegian is back training but could still miss out.

Heckingbottom did hint that a change of shape might be coming and that’s something we feel United might turn towards today. A 4-4-2- with David McGoldrick dropping deep could work, with Ben Osborn and Jayden Bogle given roles in wide areas.

Up front, we think Rhian Brewster will get the nod. Oli McBurnie and Billy Sharp are both out, so Brewster surely now gets his chance. Iliman Ndiaye may also be pushing for minutes, while other youngsters like Zak Brunt and Kyron Gordon may make the bench.

With that being said, here is our predicted line-up for Sheffield United as the Blades take on Wolves this evening.
