Predicted Sheffield United XI v Manchester United: Four changes, Baldock returns

Chris Wilder faces a number of selection issues for his XI ahead of Sheffield United visiting Manchester United this evening.

The Blades boss admitted yesterday that the Blades could be withouth nine players for the trip to Old Trafford. Among them are long-term absentees Jack O’Connell and Sander Berge.

In terms of fresh worries, John Egan is suspended, while Lys Mousset faces a race against time to be fit. Ben Osborn and Oli McBurnie will also both miss out in Manchester.

Wilder has a big call to make up top as well. Billy Sharp did well against Plymouth but David McGoldrick is almost certain to return. Meanwhile, Oli Burke’s pace could be an asset United look to use.

Sheffield United predicted XI – Decisions to be made

The defence once again poses an issue. Enda Stevens may slot into left centre-back, which would mean Max Lowe coming in at wing-back.

Finally, George Baldock could return in place of Jayden Bogle. Baldock’s experience and better defensive capablities maybe getting him the nod.

With all that in mind, here’s our predicted XI as Sheffield United as they take on Manchester United this evening.
