Sheffield United travel to Aston Villa this evening looking to get their first point on the board in the 2020/21 campaign.
The Blades will be looking to get one over on the Villans after the infamous ‘Ghost Goal’ situation just a few short months ago, a ‘goal’ that, ultimately, helped Villa stay up.
However, in fairness, Dean Smith’s men did more than enough following that game to ensure their safety and will go into this game with Jack Grealish tied down to a new deal, while new signings such as Emi Martinez, Ollie Watkins, and Bertrand Traore may all feature.
For United, Chris Wilder has a few selection headaches of his own. All his new signings impressed at Burnley in midweek, especially the full-backs, with Jayden Bogle and Max Lowe both impressing.
The Blades boss has also failed to sign a striker as yet, meaning he must make do with his current options.
But, we think the United manager will stick to his guns in the main, with just a two changes to the starting XI as we predict David McGoldrick to come back into the fold alongside Sander Berge. Furthermore, Bogle or Lowe could win themselves a place on the bench.
