Liverpool star, Andrew Robertson, has spoken of his admiration for the Blades as the sides prepare to meet at Anfield today.

The Scottish left-back has been one of the key performers for the Reds this term. Along with Trent Alexander-Arnold, he’s been part of an exciting duo of attacking full-backs at the club.

Robertson is confident of winning out against the Blades today. However, the Scot has praised United and manager, Chris Wilder, labelling them as ‘fantastic’.

“They’re so hard to play against. You know you are coming up against a team with 11 lads who are drilled very well and they buy into everything that their manager does. That’s the key to it for me,” Robertson said (LFC.com)

“Fantastic team, fantastic manager. The Bramall Lane game was one of our toughest this season,” he added.

The Blades only surrendered their unbeaten away record at Manchester City at the weekend. Prior to that, the club had set a record for away games unbeaten for a newly promoted Premier League side.

High praise from a quality player

After weeks of being written off by plenty of pundits, it looks like the message about Sheffield United’s quality is out there for all to see.

Praise from fellow professionals is the highest accolade going. Especially when it comes from a player who is so highly thought of in a team that has been simply superb for 18 months now.

Andrew Robertson took a similar path to Liverpool that many Blades players have experienced. He proved himself at Hull City before seizing his chance with one of the big guns.

Sheffield United will have to be very wary of the threat from Robertson today. However, there are more than a couple of dangers in Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Chris Wilder will be hoping for his side to be at their best while he will also hope to see Liverpool nowhere near their best.
