Sheffield United will see out the remainder of the season without Mo Besic, after Chris Wilder confirmed the Bosnian midfielder has returned to Everton.
The Toffees powerhouse was a regular fixture in the squad for Wilder, although he managed just a handful of appearances. Besic’s best moment in a Blades shirt came in the FA Cup win at Millwall, with the midfielder curling in a stunning effort from outside the box.

However, with the global pandemic taking its toll on all things football related, it seems United have made the decision not to extend the Everton man’s loan.
It comes as a bit of a shame for Besic. He’s predominantly liked by Blades fans, who have been quick to point out his work-rate and aggression as key factors of his performances for the club.
My Revenge On Ben Foster
It’s no surprise, then, to see plenty of Unitedites reacting on Twitter to the news that Besic has left the club.
Here’s a look at what Blades fans have had to say. It’s pretty safe to say that the majority are sad to see the Bosnian leave Sheffield.
Gutted, he was brilliant for us.

All the best for the future Mo. Did a good job 👍 for the team when called upon.

Really liked Mo, maybe if circumstances were different and his contract ran out this summer he would have been a great squad player to bring in on a free. Best of luck in the future Bosnian Maestro 👏🏻🔴⚔️⚪️

Shame. Even his mere presence on the bench gave the opposition injuries.
