The England stopper kept two clean-sheets in three games in October. Henderson recorded shut-outs against both Watford and Arsenal. His only blip saw Robert Snodgrass open the scoring at West Ham last weekend.

Henderson is currently in his second spell with the Blades after helping them to Championship promotion last season. He kept 21 clean-sheets that season and already has four this time around.

United fans have already been praising their number one, something we covered, here.

However, it wasn’t just the Blades fans who wanted to give the stopper some praise.

Being a Manchester United player, the Red Devils fans are also keen on keeping an eye out on their future talent. Henderson is one of many players looking to make a breakthrough at Old Trafford in the coming years.

And a quick look at Twitter suggests the United fans are pretty happy with what they are seeing…

Some were less confident of Henderson being given the nod for the award, however…

It’s safe to say that Man United fans see themselves in safe hands going forward. Even the club got in on the act, congratulating their man…

Henderson’s credentials

There’s little doubting Henderson intends on getting the number one jersey at Old Trafford.

Despite loving his time at Bramall Lane, his goal is to replace David De Gea. And there’s every chance he can do it. Henderson’s form for the Blades has been nothing short of excellent.

He’s proven to be a top shot-stopper and has bounced back numerous times from errors. He has already won United points this season. His performance at Watford being one of particular note.

England have already recognised Henderson’s talents. If he continues how he is this term, there is no reason he can’t replace De Gea eventually.

The key for Henderson will be how long he is prepared to bide his time at Manchester United.
