The potential fixture problem for Sheffield United has been addressed with the latest announcement of Premier League TV picks.
The Blades were due to play Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, December 1 and then Newcastle United just two days later.
Originally the game at Molineux was on the Saturday. But it was pushed back a day because of Wolves’ involvement in the Europa League group stage the previous Thursday.
However, all of the midweek games in the first week of December are being shown live by Amazon. In a new deal for this season the online video streaming service will also broadcast all 10 Boxing Day fixtures as well.
The new Sheffield United fixture date and other festive matches

Instead of facing Newcastle at Bramall Lane on the Tuesday, it will now be played on Thursday, 5 December. The knock-on effect to this means the trip to Norwich City the following weekend has now been moved to the Sunday.
MORE UNITED STORIES
As previously mentioned, all Boxing Day fixture will also be live on Amazon. So the Blades’ 3pm kickoff at home to Watford is among them.
The game immediately after that is at Manchester City. Due to be played on the Saturday originally, that has now been moved to 6pm on Sunday, 29 December.
Moving into January, following a trip to the Etihad Stadium it is an equally daunting away day at Anfield. That match with Liverpool has been moved to 8pm on Thursday, 2 January and will be live on BT Sport.
The final televised and therefore rescheduled fixtures in the first month of 2020 are West Ham United and Man City at home. The Blades face the former at 8pm on Friday 10 live on Sky Sports, and the latter at 7.30pm on Tuesday 21 live on BT Sport.
Once again it is due to be a busy festive period, in which Chris Wilder’s men face some tricky opposition.
