Report: Sheffield United have NOT sacked Chris Wilder just yet, situation is fast moving

Contrary to a host of reports this morning, it appears Sheffield United have not yet sacked Chris Wilder.

Sky Sports have claimed this morning, as have multiple sources, that Wilder was set to leave Bramall Lane with the club and boss coming to blows over the future direction of the club.

However, respected journalist and Telegraph writer, Sam Wallace, has taken to Twitter to suggest those reports are wide of the mark.

Wallace’s tweet suggests that there may be a glimmer of hope for United fans who are desperate to see Wilder remain in charge.

The Blades boss has been at loggerheads with the ownership over the last few months. It is thought details about next season, the training facilities, and budget, are all bones of contention between Wilder and the board.

However, it seems, for now anyway, that Wilder is indeed firmly still in charge of proceedings.

The Blades boss is due to give his press conference today at 1:30 ahead of the trip to Leicester. If that is cancelled, it could well indicate something is in the offing at the club.
