Leeds United forward, Tyler Roberts, is set to seal a loan move to Championship side QPR, despite interest from Sheffield United.
We only reported this morning how Paul Heckingbottom had apparently made enquiries to sign the Welsh forward on a season-long loan deal. However, in a transfer window time and deals move fast and it now seems like Roberts is set for a move to QPR instread.
That’s according to Alan Nixon anyway, who writes on his Patreon account how Roberts is set to sign for the R’s on loan, with a view to that move being made permanent further down the line. The Welsh forward has found regular games hard to come by at Leeds in recent times and will be keen to play first-team football this season.
For Sheffield United, time will simply move on, with the club said to be in talks on a number of deals.

Anel Ahmedhodzic is set to join the training camp in Portugal, while United are also hoping to tie up a deal for Derby’s attacking midfielder, Tom Lawrence.
Our View: Missing Out On Roberts Not The End Of The World
We wrote in our report earlier how signing Roberts had risks attached to it, mainly due to his lack of goals in recent seasons. With that in mind, the fact he’s joining QPR shouldn’t worry United fans too much.
Without Tyler Roberts, this is still shaping up to be a good window. The signings of Doyle, Davies and Ahmedhodzic are all good ones, while Lawrence would be the icing on the cake.
All in all, Paul Heckingbottom seems to be getting backing this summer and that’s all fans asked for.
