Aaron Ramsdale seems to be the talk of the town at the moment and Jordan Pickford has become the latest to sing the United stopper’s praises.
Ramsdale hit the headlines one more than one occasion last week. First, he replaced Dean Henderson in the England squad. The Blades star rewarded for a fine final six months of the season.
Then, later in the week, Ramsdale was linked with a move to Arsenal. Reports suggesting that the United star is wanted by Mikel Arteta in a deal worth around £24m.
For Ramsdale, it’s the tip of the iceberg to mark a season where he went from villain to hero at Bramall Lane in a matter of months.

Alan Shearer’s comments on Ramsdale from March have been well-documented. Despite being presented as new in some outlets, Shearer’s praise for Ramsdale actually came a few months back.
And now, seemingly backing up Shearer’s comments, current England number one, Jordan Pickford, has thrown his voice into the mix.
What Jordan Pickford had to say about Aaron Ramsdale
The goalkeeper’s union is still rife in the football world. And in the England set-up, it’s important for the group to stick together and back each other.
Pickford, then, has done just that, and believes the Sheffield United stopper is ‘brilliant’.
“Ramsdale is brilliant. I have played against him for a few years, he has been in the Under-21 set-up. It’s a great honour,” Pickford told the England YouTube channel.
Pickford, like Ramsdale, has suffered from heavy criticism in the past. But the Everton man has turned things around, and is safely the number one at club and country now.
For Ramsdale, it’s great for his fellow goalkeepers to be praising him. He’ll learn so much from this England camp. And to be honest, Pickford is a good man for the Blades star to be around.
Hopefully, we haven’t seen the last of Rambo at Bramall Lane. But if he does move on, then any move to a top club will be richly deserved.
