United have started to garner media attention of late thanks to their displays. Before the start of the season, pundits from Talksport and more had written off Chris Wilder’s men.

However, this weekend’s display against Burnley seems to be turning heads.

The likes of Garth Crooks have praised this Blades this weekend.  Crooks was previously critical of United, calling them ‘basic’ earlier in the campaign.

And United’s showing this weekend has seemingly impressed former Liverpool and England star, Jamie Redknapp.

Writing for the Express, Redknapp selected two Blades players in his team of the week.

Making the cut

Unsurprisingly, John Lundstram made the team selected by Redknapp. An all-action display and two goals cementing himself as one of the weekend’s star performers.

However, Redknapp didn’t stop there with his Blades picks. He also opted for striker Lys Mousset, who was credited with three assists in the first-half.

Mousset’s exploits saw him become the first Frenchman in Premier League history to record such a feat.

The summer signing now has three goals and three assists to his name. This, despite only starting two Premier League games. He’s hit the back of the net as many times already as he did in over 50 appearances for the Cherries.

More to come

It’s going to become a regular feature for United if they can maintain these performance levels.

The weekend display against the Clarets was nothing short of superb. Any number of United players could have made it into the team of the week in honesty.

Lundstram and Mousset, rightly, got the plaudits from Redknapp and co.

If, however, Jamie Redknapp chooses to continue watching the Blades, we get the feeling it won’t be the last time he’s opting for a United player or two in his selection.
