Sander Berge completed his move to Bramall Lane last week, much to the pleasure of Blades assistant, Alan Knill.
The Norwegian completed a club-record move to United at the end of the transfer window. After impressing for Genk, Chris Wilder made his move to land the 21-year-old international.

It was clearly a signing that was a long-time in the making. Indeed, Wilder has already spoken about how long they’ve known about Berge’s talents for.
However, it was unsung hero, Alan Knill, who seemingly benefitted from the task of keeping tabs on Berge.

In behind the scenes footage released by the club yesterday, Knill made a joke about how well-travelled he’d been when watching Berge.
“I’ve been all over the world watching you“, Knill said, seemingly unhappy.
However, he was quickly corrected by Wilder, who insisted Knill must have ‘loved it’.
“Oh yeah, I’ve enjoyed it…Barcelona was lovely!,” Knill added to the conversation.
In the rest of the footage, Wilder reveals to Berge how he has been to see him on numerous occasions of his own accord. It shows once again the due diligence the Blades have done before splashing the cash.
A great insight
The social media team at Sheffield United have been brilliant all season. This, then, was a fascinating insight into how things work when it comes to making a big transfer.

Furthermore, it highlights just how close of a club United are at the minute. Chris Wilder showed Berge round the entire club, introducing the new signing to every member of staff at Bramall Lane.
Knill’s comments were interesting, too. It showed just how much Wilder trusts his right-hand man when it comes to making a judgement of a player.
Things are on the up for Sheffield United still and behind the scenes footage like this only further engages the Blades’ fanbase.
