Sheffield United manager, Chris Wilder, has today admitted that as many as four new signings could be on their way to Bramall Lane in the coming days and weeks.
The Blades boss made the admission as United prepare to head home from their mini-tour of Scotland, while he also conceded one or two will be going the other way.

“We are still working away on deals. Possibly four players coming in, but until they have that pen in their hand I can’t give you much more,” Wilder told The Examiner.
Of those expected to go out of the door, Luke Freeman is reportedly the closest to sealing a move. He was set for a medical with Nottingham Forest today.
But in terms of incoming, who are the four players Wilder was referring to?
MORE UNITED STORIES
We know of three but the fourth could be a mystery
The obvious names to spring to mind given the last few days are Rhian Brewster and Matty Cash.
Brewster is said to be edging close to a move to The Lane, while Freeman’s move to Forest surely opens the door for Cash to come in the opposite direction.
In terms of the other two, Oliver Burke seems the most likely. A swap deal is said to be in the offing, with Callum Robinson heading the other way to West Brom.

The fourth name remains a bit more of a guess. The Blades were credited with an interest in Barnsley defender, Clarke Oduor the other day. The Reds man, then, could well be someone we bring into the club.
John Swift is someone who has been linked with United for months now, while Ollie Watkins is a player who seems to have drifted out of reach for us.
Regardless of who it is, though, it’s exciting to see the club actively looking to improve the squad and for Wilder to even hint at the number of players we want, probably suggests something is very close.
