'Tuchel awaits': Chelsea fans can't wait for Ethan Ampadu to come back following Sheffield United form

To say Chelsea loanee Ethan Ampadu has improved in recent weeks at Sheffield United would be a huge understatement.

The Welsh international has gradually settled into a left centre-back role in the last month or so and looks more at ease by the week.

Against West Brom this week, Ampadu was exceptional at the back as he helped shackle the Baggies. Reported by Squawka Stats, the defender was the team high performer in key stats such as touches, duels won, and and aerial duels won.

Of course, while Blades fans are loving what they’re seeing from Ampadu in recent weeks, it’s easy to forget he belongs to Chelsea. The Blues recently set Thomas Tuchel on to take over from Frank Lampard.

And following Ampadu’s display for United against West Brom, it seems some Chelsea fans can’t wait to see the young defender back at The Bridge.

Twitter was full of comments from Blues supporters, who are keen to see Ampadu be given a chance next season it seems.
