'Has to play every game': Sheffield United fans question Wilder on David McGoldrick call

Sheffield United fans were left questioning Chris Wilder this evening, as David McGoldrick only made the bench against Chelsea.

The Blades huffed and puffed but, ultimately, didn’t have to inpart much damage against the Blues, who won 2-1 thanks to a Jorginho penalty in the end.

United got themselves back in the game through an own goal from Antonio Rudiger but made an immediate error to gift the Blues a route back into the lead.

Chelsea never looked back and barring a few half chances, the Blades didn’t ever really threaten, despite it being a spirite performance overall.

However, one of the issues some Blades fans took up on social media was the decision not to play McGoldrick from the start. Wilder instead opting for Burke and McBurnie up front.

Twitter, then, was full of comments discussing the McGoldrick issue and it seems some Blades fans believe the former Ireland star needs to be in the first XI week in, week out from now on.

Here’s a look at what was being said by Sheffield United fans this evening.
