Sheffield United sneaked their way past Plymouth this afternoon with a 2-1 win at Bramall Lane in the FA Cup.
Billy Sharp’s well placed cross for Chris Basham gave United the lead before Sharp himself was on hand to make it 2-0 shortly after the break.
But Plymouth fought their way back into the game after a catologue of errors involving John Lundstram, Chris Basham, and Aaron Ramsdale allowed Panutche Camara to get one back. It set up a nervy finish and the Blades were happy to hear the final whistle in the end.
Once again, though, the discussion point was about the error from Ramsdale, who allowed the ball to roll under his body when it looked like it should have been a more than comfortable save for the Blades stopper.
Naturally, there was plenty of talk on Twitter about his performance and error, and some Blades fans think it’s time to see Michael Verrips or Wes Foderingham for the Manchester United game next week.
Without pinpointing some of the more harsh tweets on Ramsdale, here’s a look at some of the more level headed discussion when it come to the Blades stopper.
Ramsdale has got to be dropped for his own good, his confidence is zero which has got to effect the defenders mind set in front of him. Some of the criticism of him on here is well over the top though

Really thought we would give verrips a go today for fitness and a break for ramsdale

Personally like to see CW come out and have a pop at Ramsdale. He did it to Hendo after 1 error and now we’ve all had enough of shots 4feet inside post going in

Have no doubt that ramsdale will be a top class keeper one day but right now I think it would be wise to let him sit out for the man united and city game so he can regroup and come back fighting for the west brom game. A bit of time out of the firing line #twitterblades #sufc

Ramsdale: If he keeps playing I’ll support him. I’m not supporting 10 out of 11 players I’m supporting all 11. It’s becoming glaringly obvious though he needs time out. Confidence is non existent in him and it’s not doing him any good making all these mistakes. #twitterblades

@NathanH79 We made tough work of that and made Plymouth look better than they are. Ramsdale has lost confidence and needs resting/dropping for me
